To blow up the team or not to blow up the team.

The Hawks' problems are painfully obvious. Yes there might be other reasons, but Joe Johnson and Mike Woodson seem to be leading the pack in blame. And rightfully so. Joe Johnson is making a habit of trying to write a check his butt can't cash. Ha ( and trying to get a check some fool team will probably write). He wants to be a superstar with a good team around him so he doesn't have to carry the load. Well you got the team, but I must say you already left the building. And you want to be mr. fourth quarter, but instead you spend your time building Habitat Houses. Joe I know this is who you have always been.

Mike I have led campaigns to get rid of you and I have led campaigns to keep you. No longer will I run for you Mike I learned that the best thing to do is to let you run for yourself. Whether you run yourself into the ground or to a COY at least you will have done the running.

Would trading Joe Johnson and firing Mike Woodson really be blowing up the team? After hearing those comments about the fans from Joe I know exactly how this summer is going to turn out. He is going to leave to go to a place where the fans are more of a factor. What he doesn't understand is that the Hawks while they have come a mighty long way are no where near what the city of Atlanta expects them to be. Not talking about the fans I am talking about the city. (For instance I went to probably one of the oldest transmission places in Atlanta and hanging up on their wall was a newspaper clipping saying was a story about the 20 game win streak they had 1996-97 season. It is a team where even though they were not spectacular a full refund was given for season ticket holders if they did not make the playoffs. Not many people are going to come see you play when you end up loosing in the big games during the regular season nobody wants to spend money to see the hometown loose unless your not a hometeam fan. I rant all that to say Joe will be the first free agent that we have really might just walk away. And before he does I think we should move him.

Mike is doing all he needs to do get himself where he wants to be. If he wants to run smack into a wall he needs to keep denying that voice in his head that is screaming change and continue to go with his gut.

And by the way it is fine for you Mr. Woodson to say yes we got cheated, but if you want to be really honest with yourself it should have never come down to that you should have won regardless just like the night before. Get your act together Mr. Woodson don't deflect a complete collapse on one possession. Or should you write to the NBA complaining about how it was to cold to play in Miami and they didn't send you a weather report.
